Dr. Kathleen Tallent, PhD

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Tallent is a licensed Psychologist and part-time clinician at Elysian Psychological Services. A Virginia native, she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. She completed her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Neuroscience. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and VA Hospitals.

She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and stress management. She works with a wide range of clients, including teens, adults, and couples. Dr. Tallent focuses on evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and utilizes an integrative approach tailored to the unique needs of each individual. She strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathic environment for clients to work towards their goals and develop skills to enrich their lives.
